Make Folders With No Name!!!

Yes, windows allows us to rename any file/shortcut/folder to nothing!!!
here is a small trick to play with your friends
Select your file/shortcut/folder and press f2 (rename)

Next erase the text and with alt key pressed type 0160 from the num pad (with num lock on) - not from nums above querty
Ok... now you can check your file/shortcut/folder. The text disappears!!!

Add Open With to all files!!!

Now you can add "Open With..." to the Right click context menu of all files!!! This is useful for those who have several programs to open the same file types with.

1. Open RegEdit
2. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\Shell
3. Add a new Key named "OpenWith" by right clicking the "Shell" Key and selecting new
4. Set the (Default) to "Op&en With..."
5. Add a new Key named "Command" by right clicking the "OpenWith" Key and selecting new
6. Set the (Default) to "C:\Windows\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,OpenAs_RunDLL %1", C:\ being your Windows drive. You must enter the "OpenAs_RunDLL %1" exactly this way.

Your own Run Command for any app!!!

Yes! You can make your own Run Command (program shortcut) to run a program or a document directly. Now you can easily click on Start button to open Run box and type the name of your favorite program or document to open it directly!

To use this feature, you will need to be logged into your computer
  with administrative rights.

Just follow the given steps:

• Click Start button and type regedit in Run option and then press Enter. ( If run option is not available, type run in the "Search program and files" and hit enter)

• Now locate the following key:

          HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App paths

• Next right click on App Paths and select New Key as shown:

• Now the name of this new key is the run command corresponding to your file, irrespective of your file name and type. The important part is that the name of this key (which will be the run command corresponding to the file you want to execute) should not include blank spaces, can include the combination of upper and lower case but should always end with .exe i.e. if you want the run command to be aPPle, then you should name the key as: aPPle.exe irrespective of the file type you want to execute. REMEMBER : ending the keyname with .exe is required even if your file is not an exe and is any other file type like a jpeg image or a .doc document and if your file name is boy, it does not mean that you have to name the key as boy.exe, instead it can be anything, it is the command that you will type in run command box to execute the file named boy, so you can also name the key as girl.exe!

In the present case i will use UndergroundAccess as run command to execute a png file, Underground Access placed on my desktop. So we begin with naming the key as shown below:

• Then right click on (Default) string value (inside the newly created key) and click Modify, as shown:

• Here enter the path of the file that you want to execute in the value data field. In our case, the path for Underground Access.png will be : C:\Users\Mohit Singh\Desktop\Underground Access.png.

•  Now go to view in menu bar and click on refresh or simply press F5.

That's it! Now you can close the registry editor and open run and type the command name to execute your file! Simple, isn't it? If it doesn't work, you can try restarting  your system. If still there is a problem, check all the steps because it works as it does!

Launching the Task Manager can sometimes be difficult depending on the situation. Some people didn't know that the Task Manager can actually be launched in at least three different ways to make it easier to use when you need it the most.

First Method:
Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and click on the 'Task Manager...' button on the Security dialog.

Second Method:
Right click on the Windows taskbar and choose 'Task Manager...'

Third Method:
Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC and the Task Manager will be launched instantly.

Increase Broadband Speed!!!

Microsoft reserves 20% of your internet bandwidth for updates, error reporting and other Microsoft staff. So, with simple settings changes you will get back your 20% of internet bandwidth or speed.
Click: Start/Run and type "gpedit.msc" without the quotes.

This will open the group policy editor.

Follow theses steps:
1. Navigate to the following file
Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration ->

Administrative Templates -> Network ->

QOS Packet Scheduler -> Limit Reservable Bandwidth
2. Double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

Windows will say it is not configured, but the real status is shown under the 'Explain' tab: "By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."
3. Check "Enable" and then set it to "0" (ZERO)

For some unknown reason Microsoft decided to "forget" to put in gpedit.msc into both home versions of Vista. So we have to do it manually lol
If you want to do this open Regedit
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Psched\NonBestEffortLimit and change it to 000000
